CD Release Party
Friday, September 1, 2017
Thirty One West, Newark
$12 in advance / $15 at the door
This band loves Newark.
This band is proud to be from Newark.
But, they are not riding the wave of optimism that is transforming the city. They are the wave, at least for a generation.
Their performances are equal parts trance-inducing and high energy. They get people on their feet and their lyrical activism delivers a message that gets audiences thinking, dreaming. They are, in fact, hope dealers.
^ Hope Dealers live at Thirty One West earlier this year
The band is hosting a CD release party at Thirty One West September 1 with a full line up of local artists, food trucks, and other celebration things. LickingEats.com met up with the band at the Bootlegger Bar to talk music, Newark, and their new CD The ArtofFacts, produced by Tom Atha and recorded on the square downtown at Earthwork Recording Studio.
^ Frontman Eddie Ritter and home movie maker, Chris Pompey

Be sure to attend this party. There is no lack of enthusiasm among these guys and that is abundantly present during their performances. The CD release party will be as much a celebration of the release of the band’s first studio recordings as it is a celebration of being Newark. Join this celebration.
The musical lineup includes This Nation Will Devour Us, Sam Rothstein, and Life Brother on the ballroom main stage and Rese Jhordan live at Bootlegger Bar. Your food truck food is welcome inside Thirty One West.

The ArtofFacts delivers the Hope Dealers self-described jam-rock/hip-hop fusion from frontman Eddie Ritter (lyrics & vocals), Jared Frick (bass & vocals), Chris Pompey (guitar), Vincent Hickman (guitar & midi controls & vocals), and Cliff Steinman (drums). The tracks offer diverse, melodic & driving musical base laced with uniquely insightful & energetic lyrical content. Powerful group vocal choruses compel listeners to actively participate in the music.
Fans will definitely enjoy the polished production of Introspective, easily described as a Hope Dealer anthem. The remaining tracks include Good Heavens (with Megan Terese), Do It All, Ante Up, 21 Answers, The Middle , Going Nowhere, Good Idea, Trouble In Paradise, and Zootopia.
In all, a dynamic range from relaxed, ambient riffs excelerating to more progressive rock tones.
