Farmers Market Week August 5-11

^ Running into friends, making new friends, and catching up with old friends at Granville's market.

It has become a weekly ritual for many living in Licking County, the trip to our farmers market. We are the lucky ones. With so many vegetable and livestock farmers in the county we get all of this locally raised food at our markets. Farmers market popularity grows each season because our appetite for fresh, local food is vorascious. Sure, there are benefits for knowing your farmer, knowing how your food is raised, supporting a local economy, etc. But, the best benefit of our county farmers markets are social; running into friends, making new friends, catching up with old friends. No one can escape a visit to the weekly market without being pleasantly delayed with conversation.
